Pumpkin Pie with Mascarpone Cheese

We tried a little twist on a classic by using mascarpone cheese instead of whipped cream and topping it with our Barrel Aged Bourbon syrup for an added kick. It is delicious and we wanted to share the recipe with you below: 

Ingredients

  • 1 Pie Shell
  • 1 can pumpkin puree 
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp cinnammon 
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • Wabanaki Maple Bourbon Maple Syrup
  • Mascaparone Cheese

Recipe

  • Preheat the over the 425°F
  • Combine your sugar, salt and spices into a bowl
  • Whisk in your eggs until blended
  • Add pumpkin & evaporated milk and mix until combined
  • Pour into your chilled pie shell, and pop into your preheated oven for 15 minutes
  • After 15 minutes reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for another 40-45 minutes
  • Remove from oven and let chill
  • Once chilled, top with mascaparone cheese and drizzle generously with Wabanaki Maple Barrel Aged Bourbon syrup for a unique twist to this Thanksgiving classic
