Maple Apple Crumble
Ingredients:
- 8 medium apples (cored, peeled & sliced)
- 1/2 cup Wabanaki Pure Maple syrup
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Toss apples with maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Layer in an oven-safe baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, add the following ingredients; softened butter, rolled oats, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Slowly beat in the maple syrup and a pinch of salt.
- Crumble the topping over the apples.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are soft and the topping is browned.
- Allow to cool before serving and top with vanilla ice cream.
