Ingredients:

Maple Snickerdoodles

  • ¾ cup salted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Wabanaki Maple Traditional Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 ¼ cups All Purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • ½ tsp salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions

  •  Line two baking/cookie sheet with a silicone baking mat or a sheet of non-stick baking  parchment
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together, until  light and fluffy. I usually do this at medium speed for about 10 minutes
  • Add in maple syrup, vanilla extract, and egg; beat until well combined. Don’t worry if it starts to  look like it splitting
  • In a separate bowl whisk together the dry ingredients, and slowly incorporate into the wet  ingredients. I usually add ¼ cup at a time and mix between until all the dry ingredients have  been added. Be careful not to over mix- only until all the dry ingredients have been fully  incorporated
  • Cover the cookie dough and chill for 1 hour
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl and set aside until needed
  • Roll dough into about 1 1/2" balls, I use a cookie dough scoop and my hands, and roll in the  cinnamon sugar mixture. Place 2" apart on the baking sheets, and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until  tops have cracked and the cookies are set
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes
  • Transfer to cooling racks and allow them to finish cooling completely
