Maple Apple Crumble


  • 4 to 6 medium apples (cored, peeled & sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Wabanaki Pure Maple syrup 
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt  
  • Toss apples with maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Layer in an oven-safe baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, add the following ingredients; softened butter, rolled oats, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Slowly beat in the maple syrup and a pinch of salt.
  • Crumble the topping over the apples.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are soft and the topping is browned.
  • Allow to cool before serving and top with vanilla ice cream.
